I wanted to take the proper time to write something up instead of just firing back a text in the middle of the night but...
Thank you so much for everything. So much of my college career has been you, for all of the best reasons and I believe that. I owe so much of my growth and happiness to you, and that's what I will always see. You know my memory, it's an oddly effective thing despite all the dents my skull has withstood. But I will always remember all of the moments, little and big that we shared in our own little world while the rest of Norman aka the world kept spinning. Even if sometimes they're too painful to keep. I'll hold onto them for the two of us because it's just who I am, and I hope you can find peace in that. And I will always be within reach if you need me, because I told you I would be years ago and I plan to stay true to that. I always used to say that I want to give you the world, but it's yours in this beautiful moment with all of these exciting things coming down the line and it brings a smile to my face-- you never needed me to do it (of course). Because you are so strong and smart and capable and everything else. Promise me you'll never stop making funny voices, or obsessing over oatmeal, or letting your art be anything short of a piece of your heart. Let the God in you show. You owe it to this beautiful world.
