Day 2 of the Trip

The morning was wonderful. Following a quick breakfast at a diner down the street, we took in the surrounding city a little. A mile away we came across a large garden/arboretum. The next few hours passed by very quickly. I have probably 5 too many pictures of flowers but it couldn't be helped. Some of the most vibrant flowers fell among the ranks of beaut trees in their fall transitions. It's funny really, because I see just how much like my father we Lucas children all are... But keeping my family together is like herding cats. My dad at any given moment will be 50 paces ahead or behind us, while my brothers each shuffle every which way at each fork. Meanwhile my mother and aunt trudge along, snapping pictures and fixing their hair. The wind is beginning to pick up around here, blowing down the street almost like a chute. According to the weather forecast, it's supposed to snow in a big way come Thursday. The Lucas men look forward to it, while my mother is not so enthused.
