Ready To Be Home

We paid my grandmother a visit

I've been pretty bad about keeping up with my writing lately, but once finals week is over, I'll be sure to change that.It also doesn't help that I'm scatter-brained and have all these massive drafts sitting around, but oh well... I can't remember the last time I went to bed before 2am. Or 3am... or 4am. It's been at least a month, which is actually pretty terrible now that I think about it. The funny thing is that half the time, it's completely unintentional. I kid you not, sometimes I will lay down at 11pm, and cursed with an addiction for dumb vines, get to giggling and before I know it I'm on YouTube watching a video about random/funny facts about animals. Or if I'm really "lucky", come home absolutely pooped at 2am only to be kept up by my floor-mates whose spirit animals must be the rabbit for how much intercourse they seem to have. Hopefully I get around to fixing that too. But I guess to sort of cover things-

Thanksgiving break went over nicely. My phone finally kicked the bucket. It already had plenty of issues, but it wasn't until I finally went out to the iStore to get it repaired that it was completely ruined ( ironically enough ). The tech guy himself broke it. So that was a real bummer, but lucky for me, I found that I didn't need it anyway. It seems like all the right people saw my postings about my phone being out, because not a day went by that I didn't have something to do, or have a run in with people I hadn't seen in quite some time. Sure there were still some faces I did not have the pleasure of seeing, but they were few. It seems like every get-together I went to had copious amounts of celebrity appearances, and I loved every bit of it. Nothing makes you feel like you're home quite like running into someone happy to see you everywhere you go. I'm very blessed to be able to experience such things, so I make lots of efforts to capitalize on them. My usual relatives weren't quite able to make it to my own immediate family's Thanksgiving festivities ( eating, eating, and eating ) but my house didn't feel oddly empty in the least. I had two friends join me this year ( my rugby teammate on top of the usual goon who has been joining my family for some 5 or 6 odd years). Overall, I went to a coffee shop or two, took a few fast food runs, enjoyed a nice bonfire, went to a very entertaining playoff game of my former high school, stayed the night at some close friend's houses, played some ultimate frisbee, paid a visit to my old rugby coaches/ lifelong mentors, and took a very nice morning walk ( like I used to do all the time ). I started to go a bit crazy toward the end due to lack of alone time ( my teammate had nothing to do in this foreign state I brought him to of course, so he had no choice but to follow me )... But if always having a good friend in close proximity was the absolute worst of it all, I'd say things were near perfect. I'm very happy with how things went.
